Go to ATI website,
Find the support graphics drivers area.
Pick Win XP -> Radeon -> Radeon X1600 Series (NOTE: Not the mobility Radeon)
Download the Display Driver only.
Install the driver files somewhere and take note where.
Go to Window's Device Manager and update driver for the X1600. Do not connect to Windows Update. Install from specific location. Don't search, I will choose the driver to install. Click Have disk. Click browse and find where the Radeon files have been installed and search for the .inf file. Select the .inf file. Select Radeon X1600 Series.
Go ahead with the install, and pray that it doesn't ask for some fancy file that isn't in the package.
Reboot and pray that everything works.
